SiteRotater is simply that. It is based on a banner rotation system except that it rotates sites thru the browser. You aim people at the script and it redirects them to one of numerous site urls that you set in the admin console. Allows for setting a determined number of displays also per url.

This is a neat way to mimic content from another site.Your web server can pose as a web browser, visit a web site of your choice, extrapolate content, modify it, and then feed it back to a user on your site.Using a search and replace routine, you can tell the script exactly what to look for and what to put in it's place. A snippet of JavaScript can be instantly removed, or the name of the site can be automatically modified. Don't like the style of the site? It's easy to instruct this script to grab only a portion of the remote site, to change images, and then display it with a header and footer of your choice.Warning: this could be illegal if your intent is to steal content and pose it as your own.

When I design web sites for clients, I now use this script to put the control into their hands; rather than hire me for every little content modification, they can easily make the changes themselves from any browser.Do they need to upload images? These two scripts make it possible to traverse all files in a subtree, even an entire site, record the dates of the original files, then apply those dates to the new server.You should run the first script, BlindDate, on the old server. It traverses all the directories on the server and saves the file date for each file to a flat file text database.Then you should upload all files to your new servers. All html files, Perl scripts, text files, images, etc.When all files are uploaded to the new server, and the flat file text database of file dates is uploaded, then you should execute ArrangedDate from your browser on the new server.
